In keeping with our fruit
production ethic Jam Making was introduced on a
commercial scale in 1988 in barns originally used as a
cowshed.
We pride ourselves on making excellent quality jams
using a high proportion of fruit to sugar and qualifying
for the Extra Jam label. Once again local suppliers are
used wherever possible - easy with strawberries but
rather different for oranges.
See the preparation of ingredients in the Jam Kitchen
and smell the simmering fruits in the traditional open
pan kettles.
Sample the results - choose from over twenty
varieties of preserves including Scrumpy Apple Chutney,
Marmalade and Scrumpy, Strawberry & Cointreau,
Scrumpy Apple and Bramble.
And don't forget you can order our Jams and Chutneys
from our on-line shop
with secure SSL facilities. |

All our jams, chutneys, pickles and
mustards are made according to traditional methods in
open pan kettles.
Using best quality fruit harvested from our own
orchards or sourced locally whenever possible, we slowly
bring the fruit and sugar to boiling point, simmer
gently to concentrate the flavours and bottle when
setting point is reached.
All our jam recipes demand a high proportion of fruit
to sugar to qualify for the "Extra Jam"
description. |
