Distilling at the Cornish Cyder Farm started at the
dawn of the new millennium in the year 2000. The virgin run
in 2000 produced only 10 barrels that will be released over
a number of years and are only available at the farm.
Each Cornishapple Brandy decanter is identified with its
own unique bottle and barrel number. A chain and medallion
made from the last working tin mine in Cornwall adorns the
neck (virgin run only), and the decanter and glass stopper is packaged in a
presentation box decorated with the widely recognized
Cornish colours of black and gold. A superb gift. |
We have received huge acclaim for our
Cornishapplebrandy. We invited Jim Murray, author and
recognised world authority on spirit blending, to give us
his comments on our brandy. The following is an extract from
his opinion.
An elegant and unique Cyder Brandy boasting a refined
and unique taste that will gently arouse the senses and then
slowly explode in the mouth - be prepared for the taste of
effervescent fruit, bitter sweet chocolate, sweet but not
too sweet with an aroma of scrumpy with a lush and tangy
note. The oak adding a hint of a great rye and fine bourbon.
A brandy not to be compared with spirits made from the more
traditional fortified grape. This is something extra special
- a spirit to be savoured and talked about for a long time.
Enjoy! |
